The goal of the created image was to portray irony. This was a real life ironic moment captured the evening before class. Yoga, meant to be a relaxing and centering exercise. I was doing some light yoga while watching Sweeney Todd slice the throats of customers so that his friend could make meat pies.
You did good at thinking of this and creating the scenery for the picture above to be full of irony. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought these images were effective in capturing the good and bad of human thoughts and intentions. The yoga pose is an image of relaxation and concentration on breathing, centering and peace. The movie scene displayed concentration for the purpose of inflicting harm on an unsuspecting victim.

ReplyDeleteI thought the editing on this was very well done, but without the explanation I'm not sure I would have gotten the same message. I might have thought it was interesting no matter what was on the TV and that it was statement about how constant television is in our lives. At any rate, I think the artist did a good job.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I think your recreation shows both feelings you are trying to portray in the same picture. It also is a reminder of what we allow into our living rooms sometimes.
